ROBERT LEAL

6 p.m. Lecture

Robert Leal

I grew up in the Chihuanuan Desert, an expansive dust-laden landscape that inspired a love for hiking and trail running. I first stepped into a yoga studio in 2010, while training for an Ironman Distance Triathlon, and discovered the many benefits of Hatha Yoga as a compliment to my intense training schedule. Having struggled with a debilitating disease for many years, I credit yoga, trail running, CrossFit and time in the Franklin Mountains for my recovery. The inner Self is a truth-seeker; within my journey I have studied Buddhist principles, positive psychology, sound healing, nutrition, hydration, mindset, rest and learning the principles by which one can create a purposeful, passionate life in which to serve others. My journey has led me into helping others to find health, happiness and a piece of mind. My goal with Blue Orgánica is to bring you the cleanest, safest, laboratory tested and most affordable CBD products available.

GABE BELTRAN

5 p.m. Lecture

Gabriel is the founder and creator of Desert Sol Massage, a holistic bodywork studio located just outside downtown El Paso.

As a space creator, he enjoys the art of being present and focused for his clients, applying attention to detail and is fulfilled by the idea providing a complete experience of the senses, where one may be transported out of the mundane and into the depths of oneself.

While Gabriel is a traditionally trained massage therapist, he sees his healing as a delicate dance of intention, presence, breath, therapeutic touch and ritual.  Specializing in myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, and Thai massage modalities, he blends these techniques with applied breath work, creating flow that inspires the body to return back into its original state of homeostasis.

Gabriel also carries a passion for plant medicine and often weaves his handmade herbal tinctures into his massage sessions to create a more holistic and expansive healing experience.

ADRIAN UGARTE

3 p.m. Lecture

Adrian began his career in El Paso where he applied his knowledge and skills to help others heal as a registered nurse. Now he studies the scientific and healing properties of cannabis that can help to heal our bodies and our planet. He is visiting from Colorado where he learned about cannabis and its many uses including its medicinal properties. He is knowledgeable about the endocannabinoid system, cannabis cultivation, and textile hemp.  He aims to be a resource for El Paso hemp farmers and business owners as Texas sets out on its exciting relationship with cannabis.
